(courtesy This Week In The Poconos ) On May 5th, 2006 the Red Carpet Grand Opening of the “NEW” Foxmoor 7 Cinemas and Arcade will provide the Pocono Mountains with a new and exciting family entertainment venue. Located in Foxmoor Village along Route 209 in Marshalls Creek, the seven-screen theatre will feature first run movies as well as art & independent films and a 2000 sq. ft. arcade with all the newest and best games. An $800,000+ custom renovation which consisted of brand new luxury seating, an esthetic makeover, new projection and a new state-of-the-art Dolby sound experience, is just the beginning of the grand plan to bring new life to the Foxmoor Village of Marshalls Creek. The man behind this effort is Screen Arts Corporation President – Norman Adie. Adie’s philosophy is that his “Boutique Style” style theatres, which offer no more than 9 auditoriums, focus on a strong community feel with an emphasis on cleanliness, guest service and attention to detail while giving the audience first run, family, action, and art/independent film entertainment. He strongly believes that this is the future of motion picture exhibitions, as opposed to the “Mega-Plex” forum, where audiences are but a number within a factory “Stepford” experience. The seven screen theatre and 2,000 square foot secured arcade will employ approximately 30 people, who will be trained to know the business of movies and of customer service. The Foxmoor 7 Cinemas and Arcade has gone beyond the standards of cinema management and has its own Sales/ Marketing and Public Relations Department, and has employed Schelle’y Cunningham as its Director. The community will see that this cinema wants to make a difference and is pulling out all stops to do so. Upcoming movies include: Mission: Impossible 3 for the Grand Opening on May 5th, and then through May and June: The Sentinel, Poseidon, The Da Vinci Code, X-Men: The Last Stand, Superman Returns and the sure-to-be family classics Over the Hedge and Cars. Two upcoming promotions for the cinema will be “The Return of Date Night” and “Family Day”. These packages will provide couples and families the opportunity to enjoy dinner or lunch and a movie at a reasonable cost. This is only the beginning for the Foxmoor Village Mall. Adie plans to infuse new life into it with an emphasis again on “Community” and “Family”. Be sure to mark your calendars on Friday May 5th, 2006 for the Grand Opening Gala at the Foxmoor 7 Cinemas and Arcade. It will be an exciting night for the entire family and the beginning of a new and exciting venue for Pocono Mountains community members and visitors. |
